GRI Certification | What It Means
CSRware is one of only twelve global companies to be certified by the GRI. However, our unique, modular approach means we are the only GRI certified company that has the ability to manage both your internal scorecard as well as your supply chain scorecard. Certification means that CSRware is able to offer its clients assurance that it uses and references GRI content legally and with authority from the GRI.
The GRI | Global Reporting Initiative
The Global Reporting Initiative is the world's most prevalent standard in sustainability reporting. Its core principals are to create transparency and accountability in corporate conduct. It seeks to make sustainability reporting as standard and routine as, and comparable to, financial reporting.
Sustainability reports based on the GRI Framework can be used to demonstrate organizational commitment to sustainable development, to compare organizational performance over time, and to measure organizational performance with respect to laws, norms, standards and voluntary initiatives.
GRI promotes a standardized approach to reporting to stimulate demand for sustainability information – benefitting both reporting organizations and report users.
The number of companies using the GRI framework has increased from 100 in 2000 to 1,800 today. Reporting on sustainability is an important way for organizations to manage their impact on sustainable development. Reporting leads to sustainable development outcomes because it allows organizations to measure, track, and improve their performance on specific issues. Organizations are more likely to effectively manage an issue that they can measure.
GRI certification also makes CSRware the most efficient tool for effective environmental impact management. We make auditing your information, benchmarked to the global standard, as simple as filling out your scorecard.
The Future of Sustainability | CSRware
Organizations participating in sustainability reports are much more likely to effectively manage issues by measuring them. By taking a proactive role to collect, analyze, and report those steps taken by the organization to reduce potential business risk, a company can remain in control of the message it wants delivered its their shareholders.
